If you are moving an existing podcast from to Audioboom from another provider, please follow these instructions to migrate your content & subscribers. This will ensure zero disruption for your listeners.
1. Import your podcast to Audioboom
Visit https://audioboom.com/channels/new, and copy & paste your old provider's RSS feed to import all your old content to Audioboom. Once you activate your podcast by starting your subscription, we'll import all your old episodes from your old provider.
(If you have dynamic ads enabled on your old provider, you might want to disable them to ensure we can fetch the clean audio without ads).
2. Setup a 301 redirect on your old host
On your previous host you need to put in place a "301 redirect". This tells podcast apps to start looking at Audioboom for new episodes instead of the previous host.
To put in a 301 redirect on your old feed, contact your previous host's support email address. If they are unable to help you, submit a request to us.
You should keep this redirect active permanently, or at a least for 4 weeks.
Some hosts require you to pay to keep a redirect open. Please contact your previous host's support team who will be able to inform you about their policies.
(If you decide you want to leave Audioboom, we will put in a permanent 301 redirect for you at no cost. Just request the redirect from your podcast dashboard - we'll verify & activate it within one working day.)
3. Start uploading on Audioboom!
At this point you can start uploading any new episodes to Audioboom and your listeners should find them automatically.
4. Check that your feed is updated on other distribution platforms
Most platforms (such as Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts) will automatically update your feed URL. You don't need to re-submit your podcast to each platform - doing so might result in duplicate podcasts on those platforms.
If your podcast is already on Spotify, you should update your feed URL manually.
