Episodes can now be saved as drafts before they’re published. A draft holds your audio, title, description, artwork, and publishing date until you’re ready to release it. It won’t appear on your feed or in your published episodes until you publish it. You can save a draft without audio and come back to it later. The only required field when saving a draft is the title.
The Drafts tab
- Found on your channel's Episodes page, alongside your other episode tabs
- Shows a count of how many drafts you currently have
- Lists all drafts, with links to each one so you can complete editing
Saving, scheduling and publishing
The main button on the episode form changes depending on what it will do:
- Save draft: saves your progress without publishing or scheduling
- Publish episode: publishes the episode immediately
- Schedule episode: schedules the episode to publish automatically on a future date
- Unpublish and schedule: unpublishes a live episode and schedules it for the new future date
Scheduling a draft
You can save a future publishing date on a draft without scheduling it. The episode will remain a draft and won’t publish automatically. When you’re ready, choose Schedule episode to schedule it for automatic publication on that date. You’ll see a warning if the date has already passed.
Deleting a draft
Use Delete this draft to remove a draft you no longer need.
