Transcripts provide a written-word alternative to your episode audio. These help more people to enjoy your podcast, such as hearing-impaired users or non-native speakers. They also provide a text-searchable resource that allow listeners (or search engines) new ways to find your content.
Transcripts are visible on the Audioboom episode page -
and we'll also include them in your RSS feed in the <podcast:transcript> tag.
You can upload a transcript file when uploading a new episode to Audioboom, or later on the episode's Edit page.
We currently support transcripts in either plain-text (.txt) or SubRip (.srt) format - you can generate these using a Speech-to-Text service or app such as Descript. If you would like to see support for other formats, let us know.
